Dr. Mehmet Koc, started his career as an officer in Ministry of Finance, act athe Head of Istanbul Tax Office and Director of Large Taxpayers Office of Turkey and then lead to establishment of BM Tax Adisory company.
Dr. Koc holds the licence of “Sworn in Certified Public Accountancy” from TURMOB and “Independant Auditor” from Public Oversight Board (KGK) and he also teachs “Tax Law” for graduate students in Istanbul Sehir University.

- Dr. KOC has many articles published in different professional journals and magazines.
He was a member of the Tax Council of Turkey which served as an advisory body to the Turkish Government, bringing together experts from private and public sectors as well as academic circles and non-governmental organizations to discuss on an equal footing tax matters. He was a member of the qualification exams committee of the Union of Chambers of Charted Accountants and Financial Advisors of Turkey.
He also participated in other projects such as OECD’s Committee of Fiscal Affairs, Budget Committee, and some outreach programs targeting East European Countries as an Instructor. He was a member of the Tax Council of Turkey for several years which served as an advisory body to the Turkish Government, bringing together experts from public and private sector as well as academic circles and Non-Governmental Organizations to discuss on an equal footing tax matters in order to provide support to the government mainly in the drafting of tax laws. He was also a member of the qualification exams committee of the Union of the Chambers of the Chartered Accountants and Financial Advisors, the Turkish counterpart of the AICPA (American Institute Certified Public Accountants). Mr. Barlas earned a masters degree from Vanderbilt University, Nashville,TN, USA.

Following his resignation from the Undersecretariat of Treasury, Mr. Varol Senel joined Citibank Turkey as a Chief Legal Counsel in 1998 and appointed as a Deputy General Manager in 2000
In 2005, he was appointed as a Division Legal Counsel for Turkey, Middle East and Africa to Citibank Dubai.
He also was one of the board and audit committee members of Citibank Turkey during 2007 2008. In 2008, he was appointed as a board and audit committee member at the Turkey Finance Participation Bank.
In 2012, he joined BM Tax Consulting.
